Asher Shaw-Smith Gendelman

Asher joins Healthy Democracy this summer as the 2018 summer programs support intern. He is a fourth year student studying political science at Reed College. With interests in both quality of democracy and public salience of political issues, Asher endeavors to continue learning and growing as an intern with Healthy Democracy. Before moving to Portland for school, Asher lived in a sleepy upstate New York town where he resided until the thrall of big city life proved too powerful to resist. He spends his free time immersing himself in Portland's soccer culture and trying to find the tastiest food carts.
